General Election Financial Appeal

A General Election is looming, it could be as soon as this May, or later in the year.
Regardless, Dover & Deal Liberal Democrats need to be ready to help change the
direction of the country and get the Conservatives out of government. To do this
we need your assistance. We must raise money for General Election
communications with voters within the Dover & Deal constituency and the newly
formed Herne Bay & Sandwich constituency where we will be sharing costs. These
funds do not come from HQ.
In the Dover and Deal constituency the funds raised will enable us to produce
Election Address from Penelope James, which will be delivered by Royal Mail to
all voters in the constituency. Excitingly, we’ve already booked our slot with the
printers, so we can be ready as soon as the General Election is called.
In Herne Bay and Sandwich where our candidate is Angie Curwen, we play a
supportive role. However, Angie was born and grew up in Sandwich and a properly
funded campaign will provide a good basis for future growth.
We need to step up our campaigning in both constituencies now. Money spent
before an election is called is always more effective in gathering support than
extra leaflets during the campaign. The MOST effective way you can help is by
making a regular, reliable donation to our funds by setting up a standing order.
Anything from £5 to £50 per month will make an enormous difference to our
campaign.

The Liberal Democrats have had some fantastic by-election results in the past year against Conservatives and Labour and have shown that people like what we have to say. Any help you can give will make a real difference to our campaign.
